Now, she has moved her entire focus on multi-sport coaching and working with athletes of all calibers to achieve their goals.  Her goal is to provide personalized, motivated coaching to any individual.  Education and experience is the basis of all her coaching and building a solid foundation for success for every athlete.

Jessica herself was a basketball player through part of her college years. Moving onto new journeys, she started the sport of triathlon in graduate school.  After falling in love with the sport and what it gave back to her, it's been a part of her life ever since. Racing for over 13 years, Jessica has competed in many short to long-distance running, cycling and triathlon events.  On her resume are multiple marathons, ultra-hikes, and five Ironman distance races at IM Wisconsin (2003, 2005, 2007), IM Brazil (2007) and IM Coeur d'Alene (2010 and projected 2012). Cycling events competed around the state from Horribly Hilly Hundreds to the Triple Crown Series (first ever series in 2011) that included Arcadia Brute, Kickapoo Kicker and Dairyland Dare.

Kory Seder, Tri-BC NCCP, NSCA-CPT

Kory came to triathlon as a way of regaining his fitness.  He grew up with a childhood filled with athletics, excelling as a swimmer and as a soccer goalkeeper.   His lifestyle became more sedentary during college.  Upon entering the workforce full time, health and fitness ranked low on the list of priorities as convenience ruled both my diet and lifestyle.  Starting to get back in shape was difficult and 10 minutes of stumbling around the soccer field was all he could handle.   He came across $5 rummage sale bike- a Sears Free Spirit.  She wasn’t much, but she got him out on the Capital City trail for morning loops with a friend.

Through cycling, he found an impact-free means to build endurance and cardiovascular fitness.  He rode that $5 bike into the ground, and the investment in a more reliable road bike allowed him to explore well beyond the Capital City trail.  The beauty of the Driftless Area of southwest Wisconsin was amazing.  Cycling provided a way to relax, blow off stress, and explore the countryside---the countless hills providing endless challenging entertainment.  Outdoor recreation and fitness became an important part of his life.

Transitioning into triathlon came naturally.  Kory loved variety of training options: running, biking, and swimming.   Training in the multiple disciplines provided enough variety to avoid overtraining and injury. After spectating at Collegiate Nationals in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, he was hooked.  Mastering multiple disciplines seemed intimidating, but the atmosphere of that first race created by the athletes of all abilities and the congenial crowd was inspiring.  Six seasons later Kory is now an accomplished triathlete and excited to encourage new triathletes to start their first race and cross that finish line and assist experienced racers in becoming better, faster, and stronger.

Success in triathlon is about making it to the water’s edge healthy, properly trained, and mentally prepared for the demands of the event.  Kory can guide you through this process and give you the tools and confidence to complete any challenge.

Jesse Sherman, Certified Personal Trainer

Most people that I know and work with that are into fitness got into it the same way I did…I was inspired! I remember as a kid watching the 1980 Olympic hockey defeat the soviets. It was said that the Russians couldn’t be beat and that the Americans had no chance. When I saw them defy the odds and win the gold metal I was truly inspired by team sports and the will to believe in winning. As a result it sparked me to get involve and play sports everything from football, hockey, track, and wrestling. I played all through high school but didn’t have the talent to play at the next level. I thought my efforts at being athletics were over.  One day I was watching ESPN and saw a rebroadcast of the 1982 Ironman in Kona and I saw Julie Moss crawl her last forty feet to the finish line. I was in awe of how after 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of biking, and 26.2 miles of running that it came down to the last forty feet. She literally had to crawl the last forty feet to finish the race. It was then I was inspired to get back into fitness. So I quick my good paying job and started getting involve in fitness. For the last 5 years become a personal trainer, coached marathon and masters programs, completed two Ironman’s and was a fitness director for the Y.

I am currently working on my certification for Level I Coaching for USAT, Nutrition Certification with AFAA, and Lifeguard certification.

My goal and mission is to provide the same inspiration and knowledge that I have received in hopes to help people accomplish their dreams and goals.
